About this class
Taken a few workshops but aren’t ready for a membership? This class is just for you! Casual Weekly Classes are designed for students who want continued access to the studio but with personalized guidance. This is a flexible and ongoing class—perfect for building skills, exploring ideas, and staying connected to a creative community. Class Structure - Each session is 1.5 hours in length - Students may attend one or more sessions per week, depending on availability - Classes are limited to 8 students per session - Instruction includes guidance but with no set curriculum, you'll get regular check-ins and support as needed - This is a shared studio environment where students work mostly independently while receiving individualized feedback and assistance. Enrollment Requirements To ensure a safe and productive environment, students must meet the following requirements: - Completion of at least one 8-week workshop at our studio (or equivalent experience at another studio) within the last 3 months - Successful completion of a baseline wheel-throwing and/or hand-building assessment Prior to attending your first class, all new students must schedule a 30-minute one-on-one session with Jaida. This session will include: - Skills assessment - Review of studio expectations and procedures Attendance & Make-Up Policy Tuition is non-refundable once purchased. If you are unable to attend a scheduled class: Reschedule (48+ hrs notice) - You may reschedule to any other available session Cancel (24+ hrs notice) - You can cancel your class and will receive a store credit of $25. You’ll have the next 60 days to use this credit to book a Sunday make-up class. Any unused credits will be removed from your account after 60 days. Cancel (less than 24 hrs notice) - You can cancel your booking but will not receive any store credit. You’ll have the next 60 days to book a Sunday make-up class if desired ($25/1.5 hrs) No-Call/No-Show - May result in removal from this class type. No refund, store credit, or make-up class will be offered. Studio Expectations To maintain a positive and productive space for all: - Students must be able to work independently and safely - Follow all studio guidelines and instructor directions - Be respectful of shared space, tools, and fellow students - Clean your workspace at the end of each session Communication If you have questions about eligibility, scheduling your one-on-one, or anything else related to this class: - Please submit a request through the form provided - Or contact Jaida directly via phone, text, or email Agreement By enrolling in Casual Weekly Classes, you acknowledge and agree to all policies outlined above.
What's included
- *Clay is NOT included but can be purchased on site or from Armadillo Clay (Cinco Blanco or Cinco Rojo clays ONLY). Students can process studio reclaim to be used for free.
- Shelves for storing clay and projects designated by class day/time
- Access to all tools and equipment
- Sunday make-up sessions for missed classes
- No limit on number of pieces fired but pieces exceeding 10" in width or height may be subject to a firing fee. On average we have bisque firings 1x per week and glaze firings 1x per week.
What to bring
- Close-toed shoes are required
- No loose clothing permitted around equipment
- Long hair must be tied back when using equipment
